SOLIDARITY (YA contemporary)

Sick of putting up with the boss’s abuse, Lindsey and her teen coworkers set out to form a union at the movie theater, but personal struggles and fierce opposition from management redefine what it will take to win.

Lindsey wants to be the first person in her family to graduate from high school without getting pregnant and/or arrested. She’s worked hard to stay out of trouble, pass her classes and help support her family by taking a job at a local movie theater. But after being subjected to the boss’s sexual harassment, Lindsey goes all in when her co-workers resolve to form a union. It’s not easy to stay united in the face of personal struggles, rocky relationships, and corporate union busting. Lindsey gets a crush on Mike, but he falls into a honey trap and betrays her. Molly gets fired, Andrew’s stepdad kicks him out, and Priyanka’s family risks deportation. But somehow Lindsey’s determination grows stronger every time someone tries to stop them. Can the group stick together and make history by winning the union vote, before the clock runs out?

ANNE MARIE'S ARCHIVE (YA contemporary)

A teenage book scout finds a trove of unsent letters that tell the story of the 1973 coup d'etat in Chile, with unforeseen consequences to her, the letter writer's daughter, and the man who tortured him. As Anne Marie works to untangle the mysteries in the letters, she learns painful lessons about politics through a rivalry on her Discord server, a Black Lives Matter protest, and a love triangle that forces her to confront her own blind spots. In blending politics with history, mystery, and coming-of-age themes, this YA novel might be described as Truly Devious meets In the Time of the Butterflies

THE TIME POCKET (middle grade fantasy)

Lane doesn’t want to be a hero. He just wants to play one on stage. But when bullies stop him from auditioning, he seeks comfort food and finds a piece of an ancient artifact that unlocks a time pocket in which the Lost Colonists are trapped. Now he and his two cousins must develop the real heroism needed to free the Colonists before their enemies destroy our future. If Lane and his cousins succeed, they will change the course of history--for the better, perhaps. This is the first book in a historical fantasy trilogy.
